Radioactive Fracking Waste Poses A Threat On Roads To Leeds
Frack Free Leeds invite you to join a campaign to stop Knostrop, a waste water treatment works in Leeds, from accepting radioactive flowback fluid produced from shale exploration and hydraulic fracturing.
North Yorks County Council have just given the go ahead for Third Energy to frack in Yorkshire and they will need somewhere to dispose of their “radioactive flowback”. Cuadrilla’s plans for two sites in Lancashire will produce over 10 million gallons of flowback that has to go somewhere!!!
With Knostrop as 1 of only 4 places in the country with a permit to accept this stuff. We want you to come and share your ideas, outrage and skills to help shape the campaign to get Knostrop to say kNO!
