Cuadrilla’s Fracking Plans in Lancashire Have Impacts Across the UK
Frack Free Leeds invite you to join a campaign to stop Knostrop (a waste water treatment works in Leeds) from accepting radioactive flowback fluid produced from shale exploration and hydraulic fracturing.
The Secretary of State has just approved one site in Lancashire and North Yorks County Council have given the go ahead for Third Energy to frack in Yorkshire. The waste has to go somewhere and it is likely that the the “radioactive flowback” is destined for Leeds.
Cuadrilla’s plans for two sites in Lancashire will produce over 13 million gallons of flowback per site!!! Knostrop is one of only 4 places in the country with a permit to accept this stuff.
