The 14th Onshore Round (announced on August 18th, 2015) saw a huge new fracking give away, with around 1000 square miles of England licensed to fracking companies. If fracking is allowed to take hold here, then the results will be disastrous.

Damming evidence is pouring out of the U.S and Australia cataloguing the air pollution, water contamination, toxic & radioactive waste and health effects that plague the fracking industry and the communities it is imposed on.

Full scale fracking would mean the drilling of many thousands of wells plus other fracking infrastructure like pipelines, compressor stations, processing plants and waste disposal facilities carving up the countryside.

TIME TO GET ORGANISED

Find out how communities are fighting fracking across the country and beyond, if there isn’t a anti-fracking group in your community then think about starting one.

If there are new licences in or close to where you live, Right Now is the best time to start raising awareness about the Fracking threat in your community:

Step 1
Get in touch and we’ll do what we can to help you get up and running: info@frack-off.org

Step 2
Receive a meeting pack with a briefing, films & discussion ideas and guidance on setting up and promoting your event.

Step 3
Book a venue for two or three weeks time and start promoting the event in your area. You need enough time to let people know about it / get back from holidays and receive the information we’re sending you. If we can team you up with speakers from an established group in your region we’ll let you know.

The meeting pack will contain a one page briefing about the new licences that you can use to start the event off,  some short films to show and some guidance on screens, projectors and sound (you can look for a venue that already has these). After the film, start a discussion to decide what to do in your area.

The fight against Fracking is bringing communities together all over the UK and worldwide. Get involved and your community can be part of it.

An Organised Community Is The Best Defence Against The Fracking Industry

See our new step-by-step guide and start planning an effective Anti-Fracking campaign where you live. Email info@frack-off.org for your meeting pack.
