Angus Energy

Angus Energy is a UK onshore oil and gas development and production company which operates two production licenses in southern England, the Lidsey and Brockham oil fields, and has a 11.05% indirect interest in the Horse Hill tight oil licence (PEDL 137) in the Weald Basin. Angus Energy plans to “drill a side-track at Brockham, possibly to test the Kimmeridge Limestones” (i.e. tight oil from the Kimmeridge shale formation) and a new well at Lidsey. It is rumoured that the “Oil & Gas Authority” has granted consent to drill the Brockham side track. Angus Energy is also involved in the drilling of the exploration well at the Horse Hill site near Gatwick airport, operated by Horse Hill Developments Ltd. There are plans to try to carry out further testing at Horse Hill but a new planning application is needed first.
