Blackpool Tower banner drop climbers in court on Tues

On the 6th of August anti-fracking campaigners climbed 500 feet to hang two banners from Blackpool Tower to raise awareness of the huge issues associated with the gas extraction method.

A trial relating to the banner drop is being held in Fleetwood Magistrates Court next Tuesday 27th September at 9.45 am. There is one day set aside for the trial.

The 2 climbers are charged with aggravated trespass. Any support at the court would be very welcome but spreading the word is also important so do tell everyone you know.

Fleetwood is about 4 to 5 miles north of Blackpool. The address of the court is Fleetwood Magistrates Court, The Esplanade, Fleetwood, Lancashire FY7 6BN.
