Police Acting As “Fracking Industry Private Security” Will Cost Millions
The fracking industry is being forced on the people of Lancashire by a government minister and a private company with the police forced to facilitate the companies activities. This has happened before at a number of experimental sites: Balcombe £4.4m, Barton Moss £1.7m, Upton £280K, Woodburn Forest £1m.
Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner said yesterday that “The Government gave the go ahead for this experimental drilling, they should foot the bill for policing the protest.” read more…
