Underground Coal Gasification Company Polluted 40,000 Hectares of Farmland
Hundreds of square kilometres of prime agricultural land has been contaminated by toxic chemicals and explosive gases that seeped from Linc Energy’s UCG trial site. If convicted, five Linc executives face up to five years in jail. The total maximum penalty against Linc Energy is $8,850,000 but the company has already folded owing $289,000,000!
