Oil, gas and coal are not renewable resources. The easiest and cheapest to extract resources have been taken first. Fracking for shale gas is just scraping the bottle of the barrel and the side effects are massive. With the average U.S shale well declining by 84% in three years companies have been forced to drill more and more wells to stay ahead of debt repayments. The “Drilling Treadmill” means 10,000’s of wells spread across massive areas.

In the UK the licence areas are smaller but will still require 8 wells per square mile drilled right across them. If you live in the 11,000 square miles of the UK that are being licensed it’s time to get organised.
