In Summer 2013 Cuadrilla Resources began trying to drill a Shale/Tight Oil exploration well at their fracking site in Balcombe, West Sussex. The local community mobilised resist Cuadrilla’s plans, a camp was set up and a 2 month blockade of the site ensued.
