Anti-Fracking Street Stalls – Inform Your Community This Weekend?
What are you doing this weekend? Why not run an anti-fracking information stall like these folk did in Glasgow:
“What a day, well it started last night as we sat on the sofa wondering who opened the butterfly sanctuary in our stomachs. We got to George Square & set up, not knowing what to expect, nerves everything were bouncing. Within a few minutes we had our first person at the stall. A wee chat & started to relax. Then more folk coming over taking leaflets, signing the petition, we were really starting to relax now.
A few folk came up wanting to know what it was about & why we were against it. Even folk just walking past started talking about it. A wee talk later they were signing & taking leaflets as well. 4 hours flew by. Never got a chance to check the football score or Murrays game!
Then the come down, all the nerves we had were away & we seen the positive effect we had on folk in showing the dangers.
Really glad we done this and big thanks to Rab & Julie and Alexander for the great moral support, Rab for handing out more leaflets (plus the sausage roll 🙂 ) and Alexander for some songs”
