In six years the fracking industry has wreaked havoc on pennsylvania’s water supplies
Pennsylvania’s fracking boom started in 2009. A new study published in The Journal of Environmental Science and Health shows data collected from resident’s well water pre-drill and post-drill. The results showed Chloride, sulfate, nitrate, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese and strontium were commonly found, with 25 households exceeding the secondary maximum contaminate level (SMCL) for manganese.
