Central Government Take Over Of Shropshire Fracking Application
A planning application for a coalbed methane (CBM) exploration well at Dudleston in Shropshire has been called in and will now be decided by central government rather than the local council.
If the planning decision hadn’t been taken to appeal by fracking company Dart Energy, Shropshire County Council would have rejected the application for exploratory drilling in Dudleston.
Fracking opposition in the area has been massive and visible, with a strong established community campaign and a permanent Community Protection Camp. If you’re local, go visit! The camp will welcome your support and help!
