Frack Free Wigan, Leigh and Makerfield (North West)

loading

Recent information has been released that says Wigan has been highlighted as an area for potential hydraulic fracturing. This process involves exploratory digging. Sending powerful blasts of CHEMICALS and water into shale rock, fracturing it so it releases gas. The gas is captured and the land is left shattered with huge pools of chemical waste water. This poisonous ‘water’ then has the potential to get into our drinking water, garden, brooks and streams. Especially with the influx in stormy weather.
