Gas plan to “flow test” their well in Ellesmere Port.
This means that they will burn untreated shale gas at
up to 10 ton per day for up to 88 days.
The American experience is that this allows toxic and
carcinogenic compounds into the local environment
causing health issues to those close to the well. As a
result, this practice is now banned in America.
