In 2011 Bell Pottinger worked to position Cuadrilla Resources as the leading proponent of shale gas exploration in the UK and attempted to improve the company’s reputation after it created seismic activity with it’s first frack at Preese Hall in Lancashire. They created a huge PR campaign to promote the benefits of shale gas to the UK economy and attempted to address environmental concerns while highlighting possible financial returns. They claim to have run a 24-hour press office set up to defend Cuadrillas reputation. They also advise Centrica.
