Contamination of groundwater as a result of pipeline leak - August 1, 2007

In August 2007, when the site was operated by Star Energy, a leak of crude oil from an underground pipeline at the Weston Common Gathering Site was detected. The pipeline was repaired and investigation was undertaken to assess the impact, including the drilling of three monitoring boreholes at the site.
