Lancs Fracking Update (PNR) – Tues 7th Mar, 2017
Lancashire communities are continuing to resist construction of a new fracking site by Cuadrilla Resources at Preston New Road near Blackpool, despite significant police repression. A rolling blockade of the construction is taking place daily outside the site and is having a significant effect in disrupting Cuadrilla’s plans.
Billingshurst Fracking Update (UKOG) – March 2017
In January 2017, the council approved UKOG’s application to amend the existing planning consent to allow a “zone of variation” within which the well can be drilled. Planning consent expires in September 2017. Work is expected to begin imminently at this site. UKOG’s chairman has said that they will be targetting the Kimmeridge Limestone.

Balcombe Update Feb 2017
