Fracking Lancashire: New Drilling Phase Of Resistance Underway
As the blockade of a convoy of fracking equipment at Preston New Road in Lancashire enters its third day, fracking company Cuadrilla Resources have announced that they are beginning to try to bring a drilling rig onto the site. The convoy, which was stopped from entering the site on Tues, appears to contain base plates and weights consistent with those used to construct a large drilling rig. Continue reading
Brockham Planning Consultation
Angus Energy and Surrey County Council are in a dispute over the drilling of a horizontal well in January 2017 without planning permission. Despite claiming no need for any permission, Angus applied for retrospective planning for on-site facilities (but not for the drilling). There is currently a public consultation open until 31 July.
