Newcastle University: fracking will increase air pollution levels by 30%.
The study, which was published in the journal Environment International, also predicted that the industry could cause permanent damage to rural roadways and cause nearby residents distress in the form of excessive noise pollution. Community Holds Fracking Companies & Environment Agency To Account
This film exposes the charade of UK onshore regulation of fracking. At a poorly advertised community drop in day, camera shy Environment Agency (EA) staff are forced to drop the façade of “industry self-regulation” and admit that Rathlin did conduct a “mini-frack” at West Newton A. This is a fight we can only win together!
When communities threatened by fracking get organised to resist this invasion, they have a massive effect. Stopping any single well can be very difficult, especially with the whole weight of the state behind the fracking industry. However, in the long-term, massive investment will be required to make fracking a reality. Such investment will not be […]

Cabot Oil and Gas must pay millions of dollars to the families involved in the federal civil suit. The Hubert family and the Ely family, both from Dimock Township, did not settle with Cabot Oil and Gas over water contamination. In 2012, 40 other residents settled with the company. The Hubert and Ely families allege […]
