    A subsidiary of AIM listed company IGas Energy trying to exploit Coal Bed Methane (CBM) and Shale Gas in Cheshire, East Midlands and Scotland after buying Composite Energy and Greenpark Energy in 2011/2012. French utility firm GDF Suez is investing £24 million to help Dart explore for CBM/shale gas in England.

  • IGas Energy

    An AIM listed company trying to exploit Coal Bed Methane (CBM) and Shale Gas mainly in the North West and East Midlands. French oil giant Total SA is investing £29.5 million to help IGas explore for shale gas in Central England. IGas also owns Dart Energy.

  • Cuadrilla Resources

    A Privately owned company trying to exploit shale oil and gas in Lancashire and Sussex. Investors in Cuadrilla include Australian company AJ Lucas, US Riverstone LLC and more recently UK utility company Centrica has brought 25% of Cuadrilla’s licences in Lancashire.

  • Rathlin Energy

    The principal business of Rathlin Energy is in the exploration for, and development of, oil and gas reserves in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

  • Third Energy

    Third Energy Holdings Limited is financed by private equity. It has several wholly owned subsidiaries, Third Energy Onshore Limited, Third Energy Offshore Limited and Third Energy Services Limited.

    Geotechnical Engineering are based in Gloucester, but do work all over the UK. They are not seismic specialists but are used by UK-based fracking companies to conduct seismic testing.   • Buccleuch Estates

    The Buccleuch Estates are property of the Duke of Buccleuch, making him the largest private landowner in Europe.
