    Most visible seismic testing company in the UK. Has reputation for trespassing on private land and threatening residents. Has been used by some of the country's most aggressive shale/coal bed methane exploration companies including IGas.

  • CGG

    Global seismic-testing company. Has offices in Crawley. Has operated in the largest U.S shale plays including Marcellus and Haynesville. Best known in UK for conducting seismic testing on the Fylde Peninsula, Lancashire for Cuadrilla Resources.

  • Geotechnical Engineering

    Geotechnical Engineering are based in Gloucester, but do work all over the UK. They are not seismic specialists but are used by UK-based fracking companies to conduct seismic testing. They conducted Cuadrilla Resources original seismic tests on the Fylde Peninsula, Lancashire alongside CGG back in 2011.
