Keep it in the Ground – Lytham St Annes (Blackpool)

March 1 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Inspiring examples are springing out of this area, where years of community efforts to oppose fracking are pushing back the extreme energy industry’s attempts to press ahead with plans to extract shale oil and gas using unconventional approaches such as fracking and acidisation, locally and across England.

With new fracking test sites at Preston New Road in Lancashire and Kirby Misperton in Yorkshire becoming active, Reclaim the Power will team up with local campaigners, discuss strategies and develop tactics to oppose these destructive industries.

Come along to find out more about what direct action is, how it’s been used previously and what we can learn from past examples, and figure out what your unique role in helping to contribute to the movement could be!

We warmly welcome anyone with an interest in stopping the shale energy industry and who is curious about ‘direct action’ – what it means and how we might use it!
