
Demonstrate your opposition to fracking for shale gas and other extreme energy methods. Fracking has been on trial last week in Preston Magistrates Court. Three people are accused of disrupting ‘lawful activity’ when they occupied Cuadrilla Resources drilling rig for 11 hours on 2nd Nov 2011 to protest the imposition of the dangerous and destructive activity.
The three people charged, pleaded not guilty and challenged the lawfulness of Cuadrilla’s activities. The verdict will be announced on Tues at 2pm. People from several local groups including Ribble Estuary Against Fracking and Residents Action on Fylde Fracking and will be gathering from 1pm to express their support. Please bring banners, flyers, musical instruments, anti-fracking songs etc.
