Daneshill Community Fracking Blockade (East Midlands)

loading

Dart Energy are trying to drill a coal bed methane (CBM) exploration well at their fracking site in Daneshill, Sutton cum Lound near Retford in North Nottinghamshire (Bassetlaw). With a drilling rig now onsite, the local community there is in need of support now. A camp has been set up outside the site and people are resisting Dart’s plans, including an occupation of the drilling rig which shut it down for a day. See Dart Frack Attack: New Midlands Multi-Well Program for more information about Dart’s drilling program in the Midlands.
